Amor de Lacquer: China Glaze Ruby Pumps
Welcome to another post of Amor de Lacquer….the series all about nail polish and nail care! Send me your requests, suggestions and ideas at Brittany@ClumpsOfMascara.com.
If I could hail any nail polish as the “ultimate holiday color”, it would be China Glaze’s Ruby Pumps. I LOVE this color. It is a beautiful dark red but has bright red shimmer. It isn’t your traditional “red” nail polish as I find those to be pretty boring. If I’m going to wear red, I want it to have a little personality. This is it!
Ruby Pumps, however, does not like to be photographed. Just how different she looks with and flash and without flash.

To be honest both colors are OFF and don’t show the true beauty of this polish. I applied 3 coats and topped it off with Poshe fast trying nail polish. I used my Konad m36 for the ring finger.
this is probably the closest that
Ruby Pumps looks in real life.
My cuticles are havin’ some issues these days no matter how many times (at least 4) a day I moisturize them.
No worries…they’ll be up to par sooner rather than later. You can purchase Ruby Pumps at your local Sally Beauty Supply store ($6.00) or at my favorite e-tailer: Head2ToeBeauty for only $2.99!
Until next time….stay beautiful..oh and any time you see the Honey Pot banner, that means Clumps of Mascara is having a giveaway!

Don’t forget to dip your hand in the honey pot for a chance to win a Mary Kay Ultimate mascara…a mascara that I am sending high praises to! View this post for details……and of course I’ll ship to other countries! Contest ends on Monday, December 1.

Wow! I can see how lovely the color is, though the pictures are a bit off.
the banner is way cute…the polish, so in sync with the holidays
Very pretty! I saw this the other day at Ulta and debated whether or not to get since I have Ruby Jewels by Milani and it’s kinda similar to this.

I am wearing emerald sparkle today which is ruby’s green sister. Do you use/have CND Cuticle Eraser?? That is the best!!
i have it and i’m saving it as a holiday treat.. i think LOL! okay so china glaze really bumped up their prices.. don’t you hate it? it used to be like 3.99 or something. now they trying to go wild and be $6 hmph! i HAVE to resort to ordering online boo!
LOVE that color! I’m always looking for an awesome red. I wish there was still a Sally’s close by. Will have to order it online.
the red turns out SO different in flash and without. but white konad art looks perfect on a dark background
The color of the polish is so festive…I’m about to pull out my Jackson five Christmas cd!
Ooh pretty! I just ordered a ton of nail polish! I’m trying out Zoya for the first time!
I have to agree, Ruby Pumps is the colour of the season, but then again I’m a sucker for reds, especially deep vampy reds.
I definitely get noticed wearing Ruby Pumps, I think it’ll go down as one of my all time favs.
Hope you and yours have a beauty full Thanksgiving!
saw this around, and picked up two! love the colour and the sparkle~
but i do have to agree with you, im having troubles trying to capture the real colour of it as well
i think my next purchase should be a konad stamp system…that looks great on the nail!
Nice Post! Thanks for sharing us……….
How’s the shipping from your favorite nail polish retailer? Wondering which route is cheaper. I tried the site, I have to enter billing information before they tell me…
Shipping is always around $7.00 or so. It’s worth it if you purchase a few polishes. But it’s a bit steep if you only purchase 1 or 2.
