Keeping It Caliente with Courtney: 2nd Tip

Hi guys! It’s B’s sister Courtney and I am continuing on with my summer series. Missed my first tip? You can find it here.
As most people know the economy is not doing so well. Saving money is a must for everyone. As a college student saving on the smallest things can make a HUGE difference.
Take your regular face cleanser for example…
I like to exfoliate my face at least 2-3 times a week to keep my skin nice and soft. Instead of spending money to buy a whole scrub, I just add a spoonful of sugar (Mary Poppins anyone, lol)
No…. really! Add a spoonful of sugar to your regular face wash…it will leave your skin feeling better than before.
If you want your face wash to be hard add more sugar, but if you want a nice scrub add just a little. Either way, it’s a nice cheap way to keep you saving money and looking great. And with those two things you can never lose~
But Cool at the same time cause I know it’s burning up here in Tallahassee, Florida.
Until next time!
Courtney

This is a wonderful tip! I will be trying this out pretty soon!
Excellent tip! I'd never thought of that. Keep 'em coming!!!
I don't know about you guys but sugar is still pretty expensive! Another option is plain old baking soda. I usually wash my hands first, then soap them up with a cleanser (I like the dove white bar) and sprinkle a little baking soda to make a thin paste. Massage into my skin and rinse. Smooth like buttah…
Great Tip! I will have to try this!
I love your writing style Courtney!
@8:47am Doesn't the baking soda dry out your skin? Mine always ends up smooth but a little dry after the baking soda. try saving the sugar packets from restaurants and fast food places. I always get just a bit too much ketchup/salt/sugar when I go out and I hate to throw them away. This is a good use for those leftovers.

i love your posts!
I think that's a lovely tip…and a very easy one too along with it being economic.
So I did this today when I was getting ready for work. It felt wonderful. My face felt invigorated and I love that I didn't have to spend money to do it. I also love that sugar is natural and won't irritate my sensitive skin. Great tip. I'll be including this in my beauty regimine from now on. I'll probably do this once a week or so.
fab tip… and add the sugar to a bit of vaseline for a lip scrub!
I love these DIY tips!
