Amor de Lacquer: Diamond Cosmetics Fall 2009

| August 20, 2009 | 13 Comments

Welcome to another post of Amor de Lacquer….the series all about nail polish and nail care! Send me your requests, suggestions and ideas to Brittany@ClumpsOfMascara.com.

So you already know how much of a Diamond Cosmetics fan I am. Remember when I reviewed their Spring collection here? I got a few emails from y’all saying how gorgeous the collection was and were the polishes REALLY only $2.

Now y’all know I wouldn’t lie to you. YES! They really are that affordable and REALLY are that great. Check out the Fall 2009 collection.

Angelic

Angelic is such a darling color, right? You can pick at her and say she’s boring but I think she is the BEST interview color ever. If I could give her a nickname it would be “Bangin’ Resume”. LOL, seriously. Two coats will give you complete coverage but I went ahead with three on this skim milk-ish color. One coat of her would also be dope on a french manicure. I love colors like this. They bring balance in my nail polish collection. And I love that she isn’t a hot streaky mess. Woo!

Sweet As Sugar

Polishes that look like this always remind me of middle school. I would rock glitter polishes alllll the time. As sweet as this baby is I’m not sure if I like her solo. But for layering on top of other polishs or for frankening (making your own polishes), she is perfect!

Not Ever So Green

Whoa whoa whooooa! What amazes me about nail polish chemists is that they ALWAYS manage to find different variations of one color. Not Ever So Green is proof of that. This color is sick, yo! It’s like a dirty green golden color with tons of personality. Loves it!

So Berry Sweet

Ohhhh, can you really ever have enough berry-colored polishes? Well, of course not. This baby is prettttyyyyy. And look how she looks with flash.

Plum Pie in the Sky

This dark purple cream is giving me life! I’m almost positive that I don’t a purp in this shade. And I certainly don’t have one that is a cream. This color almost looks black from far away but it’s a purple alright. And I’m lovin’ the name of the color.
I should mention that I’m missing The Naughty Intern. I can’t find her but how FAB is that for a nail polish name? HA!

I am in love love loooove with Diamond Cosmetics now more than ever. With each new collection they managed to capture my adoration for nail polish and I fall deeper every time. I LOVE this collection. There is something for everyone. And for $2/bottle? Come on, y’all….what a deal!

I didn’t endure any application issues. All were opaque after 2 coats with the optional 3 coats for Angelic. The brush on So Berry Sweet was a little wonky which made for tough application but other than that another A+ to Diamond Cosmetics!

You can check out my review for Diamond Cosmetics’ Summer collection here. You find more of their specials here.

And do I have to remind you that these polishes are

TWO DOLLARS?!

Hop on it, sweetums.

Not only do I hear their nail polish, but their treatments kick ass. And they're equally as cheap! They're also really nice to deal with !!!

Nice colours, it's such a shame they don't ship internationally, so us non US girls( I am in Germany) will not enjoy the "Angelic" beauty.

Thank for the reviews, I admired your nails when you did the mascara review on Monday

I just ordered the summer colors for my co-worker and myself. We did the same with the Zoya a few months back. We split the cost and both get three hot new colors. This set we may have to argue about because we both like the same colors, lol!
