Mascara Monday: Neutrogena Healthy Length mascara
Yay to the first mascara review of 2010! I had a wonderful experience with Neutrogena’s Healthy Volume mascara back in the day. Is Healthy Length just as good?
Hmm…..
Overall: 4 out of 5
What it claims:
“This breakthrough formula with rice protein instantly extends lashes, while nourishing and strengthening lashes to allow them to grow to their fullest potential.” (per packaging)The truth: Hmm….not bad.
And I don’t know if it’s a defect or not but my wand has a gangsta lean to it. I kinda like it though. It makes applying easier.
What I didn’t like: It does flake a bit which is no bueno for contact wearers.
Overall: Well, Neutrogena has won my heart again! They simply come out with really good mascaras. And it’s so unexpected because when you think of mascara brands, you don’t necessarily think of Neutrogena. Let’s talk about the GREATs of this mascara.
It’s build-able: Some people really desire this in a mascara. While it’s not a must for me, I can appreciate the mascara that is such. Healthy Length will look just fine with one coat and it looks even better with 4 coats. Thanks to the great wand, you won’t experience any clumping.
It’s soft: This mascara just doesn’t feel heavy on the lashes. I love that! In fact, it almost feels like your natural lashes.
The packaging ain’t lyin’: Look at this…
Isn’t that grand? I’ve seen SO many mascaras that claim to give you 100x your natural length. LOL…or 80% longer lashes. WTF does that mean? I don’t know. But thank you Neutrogena for keepin’ it real.
This baby did tend to flake a bit but I didn’t notice this until the end of the day and it wasn’t so bothersome that I had to remove it.

I know what you mean girl, I've seen mascara ads that promises volume and length and you can see through it that they used falsies on models!

Um, I actually don't like the pics w/ the mascara on. I've been called weird many times,so perhaps this is just further proof,but the "before" pics show your lashes as soft and feminine looking (with what seems like a great natural curl), and the "after" pics…um…they made me want something crunchy to snack on.

Please review RIMMEL Extra Super Lash… I got it for 2.50 at Bed Bath & Beyond in the Beauty Dept and it's now my new HG!!! Also, how about Shu Uemura's mascara??? Thanks!!!

have you ever used any lash serums to help them grow this long? I'm trying to find one of those that really works and has less or NO irritations at all…
