Four scores and seven years ago (actually it was November of last year but go along with me) I was in need of trying something new. As a beauty blogger, it seems like I am always trying something new, right? But I always end up going back to my favorite products. I was bored. I needed some beauty action.
And then I saw it…
Nothing like a coffin-like item to peek your interest. And the tattoo-lover that is me adored the design and the name of Urban Decay’s new liner…
Ink for Eyes. That’s pretty a pretty awesome name, UD. What they say about this liner:
“It’s everything you want in a cream eyeliner! More precise than a pencil, more forgiving than a liquid, this super-smooth formula offers more control, play time, and buildable coverage than your average liner.
Create razor-sharp lines or smoky bedroom eyes… the creamy formula and double-ended applicator make it easy. Try the angled liner brush for precise details, or use the smudger for blending and drama. With such a wide variety of intriguing shades and ways to apply, you’re only limited by your imagination. (Cheesy, but true.)” (source)
I dig the packaging. It’s by far the largest cream liner that I own but it’s unique and functional. I love that it comes with a mirror and slot for an eye liner brush. Thanks for thinking of me, UD!
Because I didn’t own a green cream liner, I figured it was a good time to try out Loaded; a deep green.
Yes, it really is as creamy and velvety as it looks. Because most gel/cream liners are housed in pots, you usually have to position your brush in such a way that it can pick up just the right amount of liner. Ink for Eyes is super easy. Just a swipe swipe down the middle.
Our friend Swiper the Fox knows what to do.
And viola!
An effortless application on the lower lash line. Urban Decay has 5 other colors of these babies that retail for $22/each. And did I mention they are great for traveling? Loves it!
Have you tried these yet? Whatcha think?

I am not a big fan of the 24/7 liner so I guess you can say I don't really understand all the hoopla about UD. But this is such a pretty color! You make it sound so easy to use. I will have to try this in the near future.
Oh wow – love that packaging! The product sounds great – I will have to try it! Thanks for sharing.
the green makes your brown eyes pop! it's very pretty! <3
the liner does look great on you! and the packaging is indeed different and unique!
The packaging really is cute, but it looks like the liner will dry out faster than if it had been a pot? What do you think?
I've been wanting to try these but haven't because of the packaging.
ditto to what Chelle said! this liner has your eyes popping! i love greenish hues on brown eyes!
loved the review, i might pick one of these up during UD's next friends and family deal.
off topic: i know you're a purple lover and i'm looking for a really flashy purple cream/gel liner. Any suggestions?
To what Zoffe said,
Since it's a cream and not a gel it won't dry out nearly as quickly as say MAC's Fluidline or Stila's Smudgepot. However since it is a cream it isn't as long wearing, but able to smudge and maneuver along your lashline a LOT easier before it dries than a gel.
Hope that helps!
Thanks for the review B it was helpful!:)
I have the chocolate brown color and I dig it. Its my fav brown gel liner.
Good review!
I have been wanting to try these! You pushed me over the edge, now I have to get one!
OMGLOL. swiper no swiping! that did my heart good
hahahaha swiper no swiping. definitely laughed out loud at that one! i've always just looked over these but after this, i really wanna go check them out!
Never tried it, but it looks super-cute. I might give a try… I'm leaning towards cream liners lately. I've purchased the Smashbox felt tip liquid liner, and it's not forgiving at all!! hahah
