NYFW S/S 2012: Bright Lights from butter LONDON

| September 14, 2011 | 6 Comments

Oh wow. I have yet to try any of butter LONDON’s polishes but ohmigoodness, their runway Skittle nails are rocking my world! butter LONDON, the cult phenomenon of the nail industry, is a backstage staple once again – creating the nail looks for top shows this season including Victoria Beckham, Calvin Klein, Betsey Johnson, Erin Fetherston and more. Founding Creative Director Nonie Creme is known throughout the industry for her innovative design and technique and custom blended colors that are always Fashion Week highlights.

At the Erickson Beamon show on Sunday, September 11th, Nonie created a technicolor palette with custom colors, presented by Beauty.com

Creme describes the look:
“The story is super duper theatrical – we stuck with a palette of bright colors and painted each nail a different color. No side by side nails with the same color, no two models with the same pattern – a whimsical free for all! We wanted the nails to look almost like little flickering lights while the dancers were moving.”

  1. I really would be stepping outside the box to try my nails like that, but I must admit it looks like fun! Maybe I would give it a try!

Butter London nail polish is definitely on my radar! I’ve seen so many swatches online and there’s not a bad shade in the bunch!

  3. Kay says:

I’ve tried Skittle nails before, but mine followed more of a blue-turquoise-lilac colour theme since those are my favourite colours!

I think it might be fun to do an all neon one though.
