Guess who has nail polishes now? Clinique does!
Well, well, well…I never saw this a comin’! Did you? Our favorite fragrance free cosmetic brand has a ton of new polishes and I couldn’t be happier. But before you get all “So what? What brand DOESN’T have polishes these days?” on me, check this out…Clinique claims that their polishes are different in that they help minimize unwanted reactions to the nails, skin and eyes. They call it “A Different Nail Enamel for Sensitive Skins”.
And these are the babies that I got for review…

First of all, I didn’t even know that skins was a word. Bahahaaa! But seriously, the idea behind these totally make sense. How often are we touching our faces? A lot. And I never thought that the polish on our nails could be the cause of breakouts. Or negatively affect sensitive eyes. Clinique already has 12 permanent colors and the ones featured here are the limited edition shades for this season…

Summer in the City is a gorgeous punchy pink/coral that has a nice jelly finish. I love how this one looks on my nails.

Strappy Sandals is a silver foil. Nothing unique here but I reckon it’s always good to have a silver foil in a nail polish line.

Splish Splash is a stunning blueberry. I can’t tell if it’s a creme or jelly. It looks like it’s a beautiful mix of the two while leaning more on the creme side.

Pinkini is a baby pink creme. Y’all know I’m not a fan of these kind of pinks but I bet this will be one of their most popular colors as a lot of nail polish lovers dig pink.
Juiced Up is a coral with a jelly finish. I love this one. It’s such a great color for summer!
Hula Skirt is a mint green cream. It’s gorgeous but super streaky. A good 3 coats will even it out.
Grape Ice is a purple magenta wonder bomb. I LOVE colors like this. It has a jelly/creme effect.
70 Degrees and Sunny is a yellow. It’s another streaky color but most yellows are. It’s so bright and fun and definitely worth the trouble.
The Beauty Basics
Price: $16/bottle Availability: At Clinique counters and at Clinique.com. Limited Edition?: Yep Favorites in collection: Grape Ice, Juiced Up, Splish Splash, Summer in the CityThe formula for these are nice. Some are a bit streaky and watery but it looks like thin coats is the best way to even things out. The price point is good for Clinique and I’m very excited to see more of these polishes from them.
Any Clinique lovers excited about their polishes?

I love the whole idea, and there are some really great shades, but I have to wonder exactly what they did to make these so special considering so many brands already have formulas with a lot of the ‘nasties’ removed.

Gorgeous, aren’t they?
Cute colors! ♥
I swear in the very beginning of Legally Blonde, when Elle’s getting ready, there are some Clinique polishes on her vanity!
Ha!! I’ll have to re-watch the movie to see!

I am not a Clinique customer because the price it a bit high for me, but I see some colors here that would make me splurge on these polishes. I love Grape Ice, Juiced Up and Summer In The City.
Yeah, these definitely aren’t cheap but man are they gorgeous…
